Makes one 2-tier vanilla wedding cake
Ingredients
3 sticks (12 ounces) unsalted butter, room temperature
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
4 cups + 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
4 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cup whole milk, room temperature
Equipment
three 6 inch cake pans three 8” cake pans
Parchment paper
Offset spatula
Whisk
Rubber spatula
Hand mixer

Swiss Meringue Buttercream
10 large egg whites
2 cups gran sugar
2 cups powdered sugar
8 sticks (32 oz) unsalted butter, chilled, not cold
