During our trip in Vietnam we also had Tracey's parents with us and it was super fun to see them dive deep into the street food even though this is not something there are used to. Our Street Food guide was just amazing.

From the typical banh mi, a street food staple in Vietnam to Vietnamese Coffees, bun cha and xao also known as steamed sticky rice, we tried so many different thing including balut which is a fertilized duck egg. Yes you read that right and yes I am the only one who ate it. The balut egg is a delicacy in many East Asian countries Vietnam included so I finally did it.

The thing that made this food tour one of the best we have ever been on around the world was the market aspect. Walking around the thousands of vendors in the middle of the night selling everything from fruits and vegetables to seafood, meat and yes... dog! This really gave us an incredible sneak peak into the daily lives in many Vietnamese people in Hanoi.
