Drag Race! New BMW M5 vs Mercedes-AMG C63 S - The battle of the hybrids

In a comparison that would be seen as impossible a decade ago, we have the brand-new BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG C63 S fighting it out on the quarter mile drag strip.

Now before you all climb into the comments, these two new plug-in hybrid cars are a lot closer than you'd think, separated by R200 000, 35 kW, 20 Nm, and 400 kg. With Jacob Moshokoa in the M5 and Ashley Oldfield in the C63, with both launch control systems armed, this could be one of the most interesting drag races we've filmed this year.
