Global debut of Hyundai’s huge seven-seat EV (Hyundai Ioniq 9 2025 Review)
Hyundai has pulled the covers off its rival the Kia’s EV9, the seven-seat electric Ioniq 9 SUV. And Chasing Cars contributor Dan Gardner is at the global reveal in Los Angeles, California, to check it out in the metallic flesh.
Gardner takes us through a walkaround deep dive to check out the size, features and the bold styling direction Hyundai is heading with its electric Ioniq lineup, both outside and inside.
Due in Australia in Q1 2025, the Ioniq 9 is much larger than its predecessors in the ‘5’ and ‘6’, with our flagship Caligraphy demo car boasting a “lounge-like” interior, a 110kWh battery and dual-motor 320kW output in its highest trim.
Check out our deep dive and also stay tuned soon for Gardner’s first drive of Hyundai’s bold new family-friendly figurehead.
