Has Mazda’s premium push finally paid off? (Mazda CX-70 2025 Review)
The CX-70 is the latest addition to the Mazda premium lineup, effectively serving as a five-seat version of the seven-seat CX-90 but with a much bigger boot as a result.
Mazda offers the CX-70 with a cheaper price than the CX-90 though with a starting price of $75,970 before on-road costs its a fair bit more expensive than a typical CX-5.
This SUV though is a bit more upmarket, with an eye on rivals such as the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC and BMW X3.
In today’s first look, contributor Iain Curry explains why he thinks this new CX-70 could actually be the happy middle ground in the new premium range.
