Ureki is a small resort town on the Black Sea coast of Georgia, famous for its magnetic black sand. I came here for a Russian activist camp — but stayed for the sand! Some say it has healing properties… but I take that with a grain of (sea) salt😄 In this video, we’ll explore what makes Ureki’s sand so special, take a walk through this quiet coastal town, learn about its ancient past, and even visit an abandoned Soviet-era sanatorium!
