Keeping Manuals Alive: Porsche 911 Carrera T 2025 review

Porsche’s second instalment of modern Carrera T treads a purist path, sitting between the entry level Carrera and more focused S with a bespoke suspension and rear-wheel steer tune plus the exclusive (for a non-GT model) six-speed manual transmission.

It’s not cheap, at $306,800 before on-road costs, but it’s still a hell of a lot cheaper than a 911 GT3 with Touring pack.

Does that mean it’s the perfect, purists' Porsche 911 for the person who can’t stretch to a flagship GT product? Chasing Cars road test editor John Law goes on a fact finding mission out west of Sydney to find out if the Carrera T can thrill on great roads, and deal with poor ones.
