Dog sledding has always been on our bucket list and today is the day that we are doing it! We drove all the way to Mont-Tremblant which is about 90 minutes North from Montreal as this is one of the best place to experience dogsledding within the Canadian province of Quebec.
Upon arrival, we met with the fantastic team of Dogsledding Tremblant who gave us a quick run down on mushing which is a new word I had to add to my vocabulary. Mushing is the sport or transport method powered by dogs. After that we met met with our five dogs which were all husky dogs apart from one named Turbo, an amazing rescue dog who is half Husky and half Labrador. That dog had some real power in him!
The it was time to let the dog RUN! It was so much fun to slide through the trees and just see how much fun the dogs were having. Just in case you ever wondered if the sled dogs love their job well let us tell you that the really do! After about an hour on the sled we went back to the starting point were we had the change to spend more time with the dogs which was really fun. Each of them had a very unique personality, some very friendly and some very professional in a way.
Overall an amazing experience that we can't recommend more!
