Russia Deploys ISKANDERS in Kaliningrad... Poland PREPARES for WAR
Tensions surged on September 10 when Russian drones crossed into Polish airspace, marking the first time NATO territory was directly engaged in the war. Poland’s forces, supported by the Dutch Air Force, intercepted multiple drones, though one damaged a residential property. Days later, on September 13, Russia positioned Iskander-M ballistic missile systems in Kaliningrad, placing Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, and Germany within range.
Poland invoked NATO’s Article 4, leading to the launch of Operation Eastern Sentry on September 12. Troops and aircraft from France, Germany, Denmark, and other allies are now mobilizing along the eastern flank. With Iskander missiles capable of striking up to 500 kilometers, and reports of expanded Russian drone incursions into Romania, the standoff between NATO and Moscow has reached its most volatile point since the Ukraine war began.
