In this video, I share my first impressions of Madrid as a Russian traveler. But instead of showing the usual tourist spots, I visit everyday places like a laundromat and a Spanish supermarket!

Coming from Portugal — where I got stuck because of wildfires — arriving in Spain felt like a completely different world: sunny weather, blue skies, and… a lot of Spanish. It surprised me that almost nobody switched to English with me, unlike in other European countries. So I’ll also reflect on that experience — and share some unexpected linguistic discoveries along the way!
