Etosha Heights Safarihoek Lodge is an amazing luxury safari camp in Etosha with great service, large rooms with outdoor showers, fine dinning for every single meal but the highlight is truly their waterhole located just in front of the lodge. Everyday we were there, elephants, zebras, oryx, rhinos and even lions came daily giving us a full game drive experience without even leaving our room. What makes Safarihoek Lodge even better is the fact that they have a photo hide at the waterhole. So when you see some animals you can ask them to take you there for some fantastic one on one wildlife sightings.

Overall, being in a private conservancy like Etosha Heights which is exclusive to people staying on site makes for a truly incredible wildlife experience. For most game drives, we saw no other safari vehicles. In terms of sightings, we saw everything from a cheetah to black rhinos, all the plain games you can imagine, dozens of elephants and more lions than we have even seen in Southern Africa! And because this is a private reserve off roading is allowed with their 4X4 and night game drives are also an option.
