Why the new Porsche Panamera is ALMOST perfect!

Change your car with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-1505

This is the all-new Porsche Panamera!

Mat’s got his hands on Porsche’s latest family-friendly cruiser to see what’s changed compared to its predecessors. What’s more, he’s also going to see if it has what it takes to go head-to-head against competitors like the Audi RS7. Let’s take a closer look…

Starting with the design, this new generation of Panamera is easily the best-looking to date. Up front the design borrows elements from the latest Cayenne, has some smart creases along the bonnet, and any vents integrated into the bumper serve a real purpose. Along the side, proper door handles have replaced the pop-out ones from before, and the wide rear haunches give the car more presence on the road. The rear end has been slightly redesigned, but it’s still unmistakably a Panamera. All in, it looks seriously smart and sophisticated.

The style and quality continue through to the interior as well. Soft-touch, high-quality materials throughout the cabin, and the infotainment screen is crisp, sharp, and responsive. The digital dials are customisable and bright, and there’s ample adjustment in the seats to offer the perfect view out. There may not be too much storage around the front of the cabin, but when you’re in a car this nice, does it really matter?

The entry-level Panamera is powered by a 2.9-litre V6 turbo that produces 353hp and 500Nm. There are various pure ICE and hybrid models throughout the range, all the way up to the range-topping Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid, which combines a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor to produce 782hp and 1,000Nm of torque!

As for the price, the Panamera range kicks off from around £89,400. However, if you’re in the market for one of the V8-powered cars, this kicks off with the GTS, which starts from £131,700, rising all the way up to around £175,000 for the range-topping Turbo S e-Hybrid! So is it worth it? You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

It’s time for a Germany vs USA showdown!

We’ve got Mat in the incredible Mercedes-AMG G63, and it’s going up against the absolutely huge Ford F-150 Raptor R! So, can German power take down American power? Let’s check out the stats.

The G63 is powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 585hp and 850Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 2,550kg. As new, it costs around £185,000.

Next up, we have the F-150 Raptor R. It’s packing a 5.2-litre supercharged V8 that creates 720hp and 868Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed auto, and it tips the scales at 2,699kg. If you’re looking to buy one in the UK, it’ll cost around £168,000.

So will the extra weight prove to be the undoing of the F-150? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
