After launches ranging from whelming (RX 7600) to insulting (RTX 4060), we finally have a good budget contender: The Intel Arc B580. This Battlemage GPU brings impressive performance at a price that is better than any other video card out there right now. Better than the 4060 Ti, the 6700 XT, and pretty much any other card. Intel and their Xe2 architecture have impressed.

Storage is a tricky thing. While Hard Drives are great for archiving Terabytes of Linux ISOs, they are VERY slow and their mechanical bits are vulnerable to magnets and wear and tear. SSD's are fast, but also susceptible to bit rot. RAM is super fast, but can't store anything once the power is off. But what if there was a tech that could solve (nearly) ALL of those problems? It's called Ferro Electric RAM, it's a form of Non-volatile RAM that has some incredible features. And a painfully high price.

This is Ian, and his father Perry. They’re being questioned by police about their tenant, Thomas Lopez’s whereabouts.
Lopez brutally beat his girlfriend, Sabrina, right in their own home. Before losing consciousness, Sabrina managed to name Lopez and give the police an address—but with no search warrant and no idea what Lopez looks like, the police needed the homeowners' help to solve the case.
What none of them realize however, is that Lopez hasn’t fled. He’s hiding inside the house in plain sight, and watching their every move.

With our quest to store all of the footage we’ve ever shot for our videos, we’re constantly in need of more storage. Unfortunately, storage is expensive, but when we found drives on eBay for nearly 50% off - we did what any sane folks would, and spent $10,000+ on them. Will we regret it?

Seagate’s full reply to our question about where recertified drives come from: “The drives come from a variety of sources and may become available to the refurbishment process for a range of reasons from commercial to technical. Drives are repaired and/or upgraded as appropriate, then re-tested to ensure they meet or exceed quality and performance requirements as per the relevant data sheet and will perform well for the term of the warranty.”
