The Real-World Danger of Online Myths | Vidhya Ramalingam | TED

How do we protect ourselves from being misled online? Counter-terrorism expert Vidhya Ramalingam reveals how disinformation is being weaponized to justify violence โ€” increasingly against climate scientists โ€” and introduces a powerful tool called "prebunking": a proactive approach that empowers people to recognize and reject manipulative messages before they take root. (Recorded at TED Countdown: Overcoming Dilemmas in the Green Transition on October 29, 2024)

I could not believe that there was this many #Advent Calendars in the world! So many of them had delicious #candy and other #holiday treats! We started off with very affordable advent calendars and then worked our way up to the much more expensive luxury advent calendars. Some of these cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Are they worth your money? We are about to find out!
