It’s time for an incredible performance estate showdown!

We’ve got our hands on the new BMW M5 Touring, and it’s going up against its key rivals - the Audi RS6 Performance and the Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate!

The BMW may be the newest car, but will it be the quickest over the 1/4-mile? Let’s take a closer look.

Starting with the M5 Touring, it’s powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 as well as an electric motor. Combined they create 727hp and 1,000Nm, and this is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed auto gearbox. It weighs in at a colossal 2,550kg, and as new it costs around £135,000.

Next up is the RS6 Performance. With a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet it creates 630hp and 850Nm, and this is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed auto. It tips the scales at 2,075kg, and the full price with options is £133,520.

Finally we have the AMG E63. It also has a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet, and this creates 612hp and 850Nm. It’s equipped with AWD, a 9-speed auto gearbox, and it’s the lightest car here t 1,995kg. It originally arrived with a starting price of £106,000 back in 2021.

So will the BMW snatch it given it has the most power? Or will it be hampered by the colossal weight? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!

This is unlike any car you’ve ever seen!

Meet the Suzuki Jimny 6x4! It’s a true one of one, with the traditional Jimny now converted into a pick-up truck! The question is, is it any better than the standard Jimny? Mat’s about to find out.

Starting with the design, the front is pretty much identical to the standard car. Some of the trim has been spray-painted, but otherwise it looks the same. Move around to the side, and of course the most noticeable thing is the newly introduced load bed! The load bed was created with the rear end of another Jimny, so the new edition really works with the look and feel of the rest of the car. The addition of roll bars also helps give the car even more presence.

On the inside, the design is all but the same as the standard car, however in this instance there is leather trim throughout. The finish on some bits may not be great, but overall it looks really smart. Unfortunately, though, the addition of the load bed means the boot is pretty much inaccessible, unless you fold down the rear seats.

The engine is the same as the standard car, which means it’s powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol that produces 101hp and 130Nm. This edition weighs in at 300kg more than the standard Jimny, so it may take a while to hit 60mph…
