Which means a raft of mid-life updates to the Tesla Model Y are A BIG DEAL – whereas usually a nip ‘n’ tuck for a model a few years into its lifecycle wouldn’t move the needle.

Russian oil companies have shut down operations of some of the largest plants in the Russian federation as serious financial losses coupled with Ukraine's devastation of oil infrastructure is leading some leading oil manufacturers to shutter damaged refineries well into the future. A major crash happened in Philadelphia as a Learjet air ambulance crashed only moments after taking off from the Philadelphia airport. Iran is threatening open war with the United States, as the US has announced that they will retake the Panama canal. Ukrainian forces have inflicted heavy losses for another day onto the Russian army, which are taking little to no ground in most areas, and it seems that the Russians are once again desperate to achieve meaningful gains.

In the middle of 2023, Ford shocked the automotive world with the Mustang GTD, a wild race-car-for-the-road – yet the interior was MIA, some technical details remained under wraps, and the stated aim of lapping the Nürburgring in under seven minutes looked like a tall order.

18 months on though, and Ford has gotten its wildest ever ‘Stang around the infamous German circuit with a few seconds to spare – and reckons there’s more to come!

We’ll drive the Mustang GTD later this year, but given it’s the first car from an American brand to complete a ‘Ring lap in under seven minutes, we thought the time was right for a deep dive now it’s all-but-finished. This is a thorough look, inside and out, around a very special Mustang, with the team leader behind the project.

(Though forgive us for not mentioning the special ‘Spirit of America’ edition, as when we saw this exact car back in 2024, Ford wouldn’t disclose a single detail of what it was.)

Russia has announced that they will begin hostile action towards Baltic Sentry as they claim that "the Baltic will not be NATO's". This comes as the Russian Federation is continuing the war, as Putin has issued orders to top generals to create long term battle plans for the next year, extending the war until then. The United States has been able to achieve assurances over increased Greenland security by NATO's help in defending the island fortress. a military buildup has been seen in the area around Gaza by Egyptian armed forces.
