NEW BMW iX 2026 - More Power, Longer Range, and a Cheaper Entry-Level Model!

The BMW iX gets a Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) update, bringing exciting changes for 2026. For the first time, the entry-level 2026 BMW iX xDrive45 is available in the U.S., offering a more affordable option to luxury electric SUV enthusiasts. Alongside the BMW iX xDrive60 and the high-performance iX M70, the lineup introduces improved efficiency, better technology, and fresh design tweaks, including some unique kidney grilles.

Performance Highlights:

- iX xDrive45: With a 100.1-kWh battery pack, 402 hp, and 516 lb-ft of torque, it achieves a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds and an estimated range of 312 miles. Starting at $76,325, it’s the most accessible iX yet.
- iX xDrive60: Upgraded with 536 hp and 564 lb-ft, it hits 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Its starting price of $89,675 brings 340 miles of range.
- iX M70: The powerhouse of the lineup produces 650 hp and 811 lb-ft for a thrilling 3.6-second 0-60 mph sprint. It starts at $112,675 with a 302-mile range.

Efficiency and Technology Upgrades

The 2026 BMW iX is BMW’s first production model to incorporate silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors, boosting energy transfer efficiency. A heat pump is standard, and updated headlights are 10% more efficient, contributing to improved overall range.

Refined Design and Features

The 2026 BMW iX brings subtle exterior updates, including illuminated kidney grilles and redesigned headlights. A new M Sport Package adds aggressive styling, with 23-inch wheels available for the first time. Inside, the iX offers redesigned seats for improved comfort, including new M Multi-Function seats with ventilation and massage options.

Fresh Color Options

Personalize your iX with striking new colors like Dune Grey, Arctic Race Blue, Carbon Black, and Individual Frozen Deep Grey.

Production and Availability

Production begins in March 2026 at BMW’s Dingolfing plant, with U.S. deliveries starting in Q2.
