Mazda has been pushing into luxury territory lately, and the all-new CX-70 is no exception. But can Mazda really compete with brands like Lexus, Audi, Infiniti, and Acura? To find out, we decided to compare it with another recent luxury contender, the Genesis GV80. Today, we're looking at two of the newer faces in the premium crossover world to see how they stack up. On one side, we’ve got the first-ever Mazda CX-70, which is basically a two-row version of the CX-90. On the other, we’ve got the Genesis GV80, originally launched by Hyundai’s luxury division back in 2021, now refreshed for 2025. There’s a bit of a price gap between these two, but they have a lot in common—both pack turbocharged six-cylinder engines, have head-turning looks inside and out, and come with full-time all-wheel drive.
