You’re looking at Alpine’s rival for the Porsche Macan SUV.

Well, almost, as this is technically the Alpine A390_β, the ‘_β’ signifying it’s the concept car that foreshadows the real thing. That, and Alpine are at pains to only ever call it a ‘sport fastback’, never an SUV.

Nonetheless, it is a five-seat crossover aimed at the Porsche Macan and the Tesla Model Y, and Alpine promises that the exterior design is 85% true to the production car we’ll see in 2025. That, and although the interior is all show-car silliness, we know the real A390’s powertrain will consist of three electric motors, with one at the front and one for each rear wheel. Might there be a little A110 handling magic in there too?

Russian forces have been completely surrounded in Toretsk, Ukrainian forces have now reached the downtown and have access to the major roadways Russian forces would need to use to retreat. Massive explosions rocked a large refinery in Ufa only hours ago as a mysterious drone or missile came roaring down onto the refinery casuing significant damage. Ukrainian armed forces have kept pressure high on the Russians, while diplomatic pressures have also been running high as well. A European summit was held today, and the european powers made it clear they have unwavering support towards Ukraine. The idea of a ceasefire was mentioned, but rejected by Zelensky.

Tonight's fundraiser is for Nova Ukraine.

Once upon a time the McLaren F1 boasted a mind-bending 627hp and was the pinnacle of the supercar world.

Yet here we are in late 2024 with a Ferrari 12Cilindri and an Aston Martin Vanquish that each sport around two hundred horsepower more than the iconic Big Mac!

In an era when combustions engines keep being read their last rites, that we’ve got two big twelve-cylinder motors not only alive, but producing ever most preposterous amounts of power, is a reason to celebrate.

Which we could do – but when two so-called ‘super GTs’ arrive so quickly one after the other, rather than let them rest on their laurels we’d sooner find out which was best.

Today, US Officials have officially paused US support for Ukraine's war effort against Russia. All current shipments of military aid and weapons to Ukraine have been redirected from Ukraine and shipped to holding sites amidst the abrupt and drastic move by the United States. Meanwhile, Ukraine launched massive attacks on several Russian Oil Refineries and Oil Depots as Zelenskyy tries to re-establish diplomatic relations with the United States. In the midst of these attacks, a Russian S-300 Air Defense System was destroyed with video evidence costing the Russians hundreds of millions of dollars. We also have news that Europe has announced an $800 billion re-arming plan to fortify Europe's defense amidst US uncertainty. Stig Laps are back!

That’s right, The Stig is once again roaming free at Dunsfold, and in this new eight-part series we’ve gathered, well, eight cars of course, to set new timed Power Laps at the Top Gear Test Track.

Up first is the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack. It’s the slower-in-a-straight-line variation of the Jesko, as the Absolut version is wingless and faster flat-out. Yet that’s good here, because this Attack version boasts up to 1400kg of downforce, and with 1578bhp as well, that makes it a very tasty track weapon indeed.

However, can it get near the current road-legal lap record holder, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which blitzed around in 1 min 11.3 seconds?
