Today, we embark on a food adventure with our friends at Yummy Istanbul which will take us on both continent from Europe to Asia.

Book your Istanbul food tour here: https://yummyistanbul.com/

This Istanbul food tour started with a delicious Turkish breakfast in Europe with simit, olives, Turkish coffee and so much more before taking the ferry to the Asian side for more food.

As soon as we arrived on our second continent for the day, we hit the ground running with some Iskender Kebap, probably my favorite Trukish dish. From there we tried everything else from soup to pickle juice, some Turkish Delight of course and even some street food items like Lokma and stuffed mussels.

Overall an amazing food tour experience with an amazing food guide who knew everything about the food and Istanbul as a whole. If you can only eat one meal in Turkey, make it an Iskender Kebap and finish it with a proper Turkish baklava!

Radically improved, but good enough? (MG HS Essence 2025 Review)

MG has given its HS midsize SUV a ground-up refresh for its new generation that launched in Australia in late 2024, replacing the cheap and popular if critically unloved predecessor.

On test here is the flagship of the three-variant HS range, called the Essence, which lobs for $40,990 list or from $44,300 driveaway (though at the time of publication it’s on $40,990 driveaway offer).

The front driver fits a 125kW and 275Nm turbocharged 1.5-litre engine up and down the range, while the top-spec Essence fits a long list of features for its price point.

But is there quality in the HS Essence beyond the features list. And is there depth in the driving experience so lacking in its forebear? Chasing Cars founder Tom Baker takes a deep dive to find out.
