Ukrainian forces have successfully liberated the city of Toretsk from Russian forces, taking a large number of prisoners in the process. Ukrainian forces have not had such a successful time in Kursk, as a Russian offensive has broken through the defensive lines south of Sudzha and has nearly reached the Ukrainian border, leading some Ukrainian generals believe that a withdrawal may be the best option. North Korea has threatened war with the US and South Korea over planned military exercises coming in a few weeks. In response the US will be increasing the size of the joint drills. Poland has begun to mobilize their entire population, and pursue possible nuclearization due to the threat of US withdrawal from NATO. US forces may be redeployed from Germany further into Eastern Europe.

I managed to record the sounds that the ice of Baikal is making in winter. These are the sounds of waves below the ice and the constant cracking of the ice because of the waves and other factors.

Lake Baikal in Russia on the border with Mongolia is the deepest lake in world and contains 20% of the world's fresh drinkable water. The most adventurous time to go there is in winter, when you can see the ice of the famous lake. Massive explosions were booming across the whole of Russia overnight as Ukrainian droens began to hit a wide number of strategic targets throughout the Russian Federation's western regions. It appears that the attack was wildly successful, and that there will be damage to the Russian war industry. Russia attempted a surprise attack in the Kursk oblast which failed, as they climbed out of a pipeline into Sudzha and took heavy losses in the battle. Iran has stated they will not back off of their nuclearization, and germany warns that Russia is poised to attack europe in the future.

ICEMAN RUSSIA is a cold resistance competition that includes weightlifting, running and swimming in ice water. In Russia, a cold-resistant person is called ‘a walrus’. These people rub with snow, dive in an ice hole or swim short or long distances in icy water, that’s why they are compared to animals that are well adapted to cold weather and are accustomed to swimming in ice water. Swimming in ice water is considered to be the mastery of cold resistance, and I decided to try it!
