Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler have arrived later to the electric vehicle segment than their Detroit rivals. Jeep has already seen strong demand for its Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid, but the model we’re looking at today is different. This is the brand’s first all-electric SUV, the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S. The key question is whether the wait has been worthwhile. Unlike the larger Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models, the Wagoneer S is a midsize SUV that sits closer in size to the Grand Cherokee. It carries only subtle cues from Jeep’s traditional design language, with the seven-slot grille reimagined in a more contemporary form, flanked by slim headlights that sharpen the look. The broad side panels create a sense of visual strength, complemented by dark side skirts and wheel arches that nod to Jeep’s off-road heritage, even though this particular model is aimed squarely at on-road use.

Small subcompact SUVs continue to build momentum in the US market, and the Honda HR-V remains one of the most consistent players in the segment.
