Audi S2 with V10 Engine Swap: R8 Donates its Engine for Crazy Custom Build

From the team that brought you the Mazda RX7 Veilside comes another crazy custom car build. This time the KwaZulu-Natal crew have taken 2 clean and running Audis to make a single Audi S2 with the V10 engine from an Audi R8.

Beyond just the engine, the car features a fully custom bodykit in the Audi Sport racing colours and some bespoke air suspension tweaks. The sound installed in this car is something we've never seen before and looks insane. Jacob Moshokoa made the trip to KZN to check it out and give it a quick spin.

GWM Interview - "We are internally discussing building our cars in South Africa"

Great Wall Motors South Africa (GWM SA) has gone from strength to strength in our market, consistently adding more brands to their portfolio. The business now spans Tank, Ora, Haval, GWM and P-Series, all of which have multiple models in their respective ranges which have found thousands of homes on motorist's driveways across the country.

In this wide-ranging interview with guest journalist Fifi Peters, Desmond Els, Sales Manager of GWM SA, confirms that the company is thinking about and internally discussing building cars in South Africa.

GWM is the largest independently owned car manufacturer in China, with over 40 sub-brands on sale in that country, and so there is a wide range of products for GWM SA to draw from from local introduction.

GWM SA has focused intently on hybrid models, introducing multiple HEVs across their various brands. Mr Els also confirms that the new P-Series P300 bakkie will be launched in the first quarter of P300.
