With 75 luxury safari suites located on both sides of the main lodge, this is no small property. It has multiple restaurants, cinema room, large photo hide, full gym, infinity pool, spa, souvenir shop, lounge and all of this is apart from the incredible game drives you get due to its location inside the Serengeti National Park known to be one of the best safari location in Africa. This game reserve has more lions than anywhere else which makes almost every safari drive extra exciting.

We have visited multiple Elewana properties in both Kenya and Tanzania and it became one of our favorite collection due to the consistency from property to property. Intimate Safari Camp in the Serengeti

After going on over 75 safaris all over Africa, we always suggest people to plan their safari adventure during low season also known as rainy season. This might not make a lot of sense so let us change your mind before you plan your safari trip.

For this trip we stayed at Nimali Serengeti, a collection we had never stayed with before but one that we will be visiting again in the future. This beautiful camp is an ideal size with just a few cottage, a nice common area with lots of space to relax, a fireplace and even a beautiful pool and all of this with a stunning view of the Serengeti National Park.

In East Africa especially, peak season has the best weather in the possibility to see the great migration between Tanzania and Kenya. This might sound great, but it is NOT worth it and here is why. During peak season, safari camp prices rises, there are hundreds of safari vehicle going on game drives at the same time every single day meaning that the animal always get surrounded. Good luck getting some nice photos. Yes, it is sunny but it is also very hot.

While in low season, you will save tons of money as safari camp rates are much lower, the weather in terms of temperature is lovely but yes it will be raining sometimes but not all day every day. Some pockets of rain here and there. And the most important, low attendance in all National Parks and Game Reserves. We had incredible elephants and lion sightings during this safari and we were alone the entire time. We saw less than five other safari vehicles each time we were on a game drive which was incredible. It felt like we were alone because we kind of were!

Keep in mind that the wildlife doesn't go anywhere during low season, they are still around. Apart from the wildebeest but trust us when we say that the great migration is not as magical as it may seem. Over a hundred safari trucks lined up and waiting for several hours under the burning sun for the animal to maybe cross is just not as fun as it looks on National Geographics...

Let us tell you something right from the start. If you follow a Halal lifestyle then this is the camp for you, no questions asked. With that being said, if like us Halal is not a requirement then don't worry about it because you won't notice it!

Starting from the food which is not only some of the best meals we have had in the bush of East Africa but simply some of the best meals we hav ever had period. The executive chef at Pearl Mara, originally from South Africa is so talented and creative and always makes sure that every single course is something you have never had before but also something that you will fall in love with. From homemade biltong, to french toast with real maple syrup and some of the best BBQ meats we have ever had in Kenya, there is a little bit of everything including some interesting twists on authentic Kenyan food. No, there is no wine but they have some delicious mocktails that will pair well with every dish.

The safari camp itself is one of the most beautiful we have seen in Kenya. Located on an escarpment, you will get some incredible views from the main lodge and from your safari suite which has a private jacuzzi. The rooms are spacious, the beds more than comfortables and the coffee bar always stocked with juices, snacks and more.

Because it is located in the Mara Triangle, you are pretty much guaranteed some of the must incredible game drives in Kenya. The Masai Mara National Park is known worldwide its incredible wildlife including elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, leopards, rhinos and more. If you are lucky enough, you might even see the big fives during your stay at Pearl Mara, who knows.

Overall, if you are looking for an incredibly beautiful safari lodge in Kenya with five star dining, excellent personalized service and views for days, Pearl Mara might just be the the property for the safari of your dreams!
